Richard Ashcroft third solo album, ‘Keys to the World’, came out on 23 January 2006. The album was recorded in London and has been produced by Richard and long time collaborator Chris Potter.
Richard used to be the singer and chief songwriter in The Verve, one of the most influential and successful bands of the 1990’s. The Verve split in 1999. The decision to go it alone came as a surprise to many, but for Ashcroft it made total sense;
"This is the most exciting period of my life so far, amazing time, I know there is still a mixture of many things, fear, anticipation, excitement which makes you feel alive", Richard Ashcroft.
Previous albums include ‘Alone With Everybody’ in 2000 and ‘Human Conditions’ in 2002.
