The week in pop - Your five minute round up starts here…

Madge hits back
Madonna has gone on Oprah to defend her decision to adopt African-born baby David. The star told the US chat show host, ‘When I met him he was extremely ill. He had severe pneumonia and could hardly breathe. I was in a panic because I didn't want him in the orphanage because I knew they didn't have medication to take care of him.’
Madge also praised young Lourdes and Rocco on how they took to their new baby brother. She said ‘They never once said, "What is he doing here?" or mentioned the difference in his colour - that's an amazing lesson children teach us.’ Aww, bless.

The return of the king
He’s had more than his fair share of problems but the king of pop, Michael Jackson, is working on a brand new album from a quiet hideaway in Ireland.
Although we can safely say that you probably won’t find Jacko picking four leaf clovers, the singer is full of enthusiasm for his lucky new home saying, ‘Ireland has inspired me to make a great new album.’

New teaser…
Which international diva has said that she is too fat?

Liam whoops All Saints
All Saints kicked off their comeback extravaganza on Wednesday night with their first performance in five years. Nat, Nic, Shaznay and Mel rocked up to the Shepherds Bush Pavilion to sing material from their new album to an intimate crowd of 400. Half a decade down the line and there were no baggy pants insight. Instead the girls opted for super-sleek shirts and tie get ups. Loud mouth Liam Gallagher was also there to show his support, whooping and hollering from the crowd. What a pussy cat!
