Irish musician Cathy Davey release new album
It’s been an amazing start to 2008 for Cathy Davey. Since the release of Cathy’s second album in October 2007, she has won the Meteor (Irish Brits) for Best Irish female and was the hot favourite to win The Choice Award (Irish Mercurys).
Cathy’s next release, ‘Tales of Silversleeve’ will be released in the UK on June 9th.
Her first album, 2004’s ‘Something Ilk’, was critically acclaimed but a more serious affair. On ‘Tales of Silversleeve’ Cathy has superseded all expectations by delivering an album full of amazing pop songs.
Having recently made a splash at SXSW Cathy Davey will appear in London for a residency at the Waterrats on the following dates:

Cathy has been playing sold out venues across the country and is due to play the Dublin Olympia in June, a venue usually reserved for the big guns. Her album is certified platinum in Ireland and she has picked up a few celebrity fans along the way including REM, Feist and Graham Coxon.
The album ‘Tales of Silversleeve’ is released on 9 June
