After 13 million record sales and forty No.1 singles worldwide across the globe with the massively successful pop band Blue, Duncan James storms back on to the UK music scene this spring with his solo single “Sooner Or Later', released 29th May through Innocent Records.
'Sooner Or Later' is an infectious, uplifting, feel good song about finding love again after a painful break up. With slick harmonies, soaring guitars and an indelible melody, the track is destined to explode on airwaves across the country and become the sound of summer 2006.
'Sooner Or Later' will be followed by the release of Duncan’s debut solo album 'Future Past' on 12th June, a confident collection of classic pop songs with mass appeal.
As a member of Blue, Duncan achieved phenomenal sales figures, not only in the UK, but all across the globe. Blue sold an amazing 9.5 million albums and 3.5 million singles. Duncan’s first solo release 'I Believe My Heart' from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical 'Woman In White', was a massive success, entering the UK charts at No.2 in late 2004.
2005 saw Duncan sign a solo deal with Innocent Records, who have allowed him to spend the last year writing and recording his album working with music luminaries as Stephen Lipson (Annie Lennox, Simple Minds), Andreas Carlsson (Britney Spears, N Sync) and Peter Vettese (Bee Gees, Beverly Knight, Darren Hayes).
Duncan says: 'I'm extremely excited, but also very nervous about releasing the single and the album. I've waited a year because I wanted the time to be right. I’ve worked hard to write and produce an album of material I’m proud of.'
